About the Course

Join us for an action packed Malaysian & Thai cooking course full of regional cuisine inspired by the street food culture in Asia. You will learn how to create authentic Malaysian and Thai dishes using fresh and fragrant ingredients.

Your chef for this one day course is Jackie Kearney, 2011 BBC Masterchef finalist. Jackie was acclaimed by the Masterchef judges for her fabulous flavours and delicious Thai & Malaysian dishes. She is passionate about vegetarian dining and Asian street food, inspired by extensive travels across Asia.

Techniques you will learn on the cookery course:

How to make an authentic Malaysian curry

- Create delicious street food style snacks

- Learn the secrets to the perfect Thai green curry paste and how to transform this into a traditional Thai curry

- How to make pad Thai, a quick, tasty and versatile stir fried noodle dish

- Murtabak, Malaysian stuffed crispy pancake

- Chilli sambal, a fiery hot dipping sauce

Lunch is provided on this Malaysian & Thai cooking course as well as all equipment and aprons. You will enjoy the food that you have created throughout the day and go away with some expert knowledge and transferable skills.

All of our cookery course take place at our cookery school on the Catton Hall estate in the beautiful South Derbyshire countryside.

Please inform us when booking onto the course if you have any allergies, dietary requirements or are vegetarian.  This Thai cookery course is suitable for vegetarians, as long as you are comfortable with meat being cooked by other guests.
