Throughout the day you’ll stop to eat the food you’ve cooked in our private dining room with everyone else. A chance to share your experiences in creating the dishes as well as great food.

- Preparation of a variety of Indian dishes, including meat, fish, vegetarian dishes and accompaniments such as an Indian chutney
- How to make Indian breads

- Valuable tips to set up your own little Indian kitchen
- Greater understanding of the application and benefits of various spices used every day in Indian cooking
This day long course is designed to give you total confidence in using all of these techniques to enhance your repertoire of Indian dishes. The aim is that you can go home and repeat the recipes for family and friends time and again.

Your chef tutor
Nidhi was born & brought up in India before moving to the UK in 2005. After a career in marketing Nidhi turned her career to follow her passion for food and has been teaching in London since 2011.
“In my classes, I like to teach classic home dishes that are easy to recreate and provide healthy alternatives that can be easily incorporated into weekly meal plans. If there is anything that transcends countries, cultures, languages and even kitchens around the world – it is the aroma of delicious home cooked food! I look forward to sharing these skills with you”.

About your day
Our Indian masterclass takes place on the Catton Hall Estate. On the picturesque Derbyshire and Staffordshire border, we are only minutes from the A38. We also have plenty of free parking.
You’ll have the support of our “kitchen fairies” who’ll ensure you have everything you need. We’ll provide an apron for the day, and all the equipment and ingredients.
You’ll be sitting down together during the day to eat the dishes you’ve created. We’ll also provide wine and soft drinks.
Our day courses run from 10.15am to 4pm. Join the team for early morning refreshments from 10am.
