About the Course

On this one-day South Indian cookery course you will learn how to make delicious, flavoursome South Indian dishes, which you will be able to recreate again in your own kitchen. 

Your chef for this South Indian cookery course will be Monisha Bharadwaj. Monisha is an award winning cookery book author who regularly appears on television and writes for newspapers. She originally comes from Mumbai so has a wealth of knowledge about South Indian food so she will be able to answer any questions you may have.

Techniques you will learn on this South Indian Cookery Course:

- How to make authentic South Indian dishes

- How to balance and blend spices in both meat and vegetarian dishes  

- How to make side dishes including a delicious coconut chutney

- How to create delicious flavoured rice

Lunch will be provided on this South Indian cookery course as well as all equipment and ingredients needed for the day. On this course most of the food you make will be consumed throughout the day, and you will leave with the knowledge to recreate it all again in your own kitchens.

All of our cookery courses take place at our cookery school at Catton Hall which is on the Derbyshire / Staffordshire border. There are excellent transport links with neighbouring cities such as Birmingham, Leicester, Derby, Nottingham and London which is only 1 hour 30 minutes via train. There is ample free parking on site in the walled car park opposite the cookery school.
