During the day you will cook all of the above and get to enjoy your food in our private dining room. Take the chance to chat with fellow guests about your favourite curries to cook at home or enjoy in restaurants. Everyone loves a good recommendation! It’s also a lovely opportunity to share your experiences in creating the dishes as well sitting down to delicious food together.

Your chef tutor
Your chef tutor is Jenny Chandler, food writer and cookery teacher. Having worked as a chef throughout the world, and travelled extensively, Jenny is an expert in recreating the flavours of different cuisines at home. Jenny teaches several courses here at Seasoned and is well known for making sure everyone leaves feeling confident that they have mastered the skills and techniques she’s demonstrating.
With her working life having taken her around the world, as a chef and a teacher, Jenny is the perfect person to guide you through this curry course.
About your day
Our cookery courses take place on the Catton Hall Estate. On the picturesque Derbyshire and Staffordshire border, we are only minutes from the A38. We also have plenty of free parking.
You’ll have the support of our “kitchen fairies” who’ll ensure you have everything you need. We’ll provide you with an apron for the day, and all the equipment and ingredients you’ll need.
You’ll be sitting down together during the day to eat the dishes you’ve created. We’ll also provide wine and soft drinks.
Our day courses run from 10.15am to 4 pm. Join the team for early morning refreshments from 10 am.
