During this one-day chocolate patisserie course, you will be part of a friendly group on an action-packed schedule led by Will Torrent – a professional award winning patisserie chef and head of all the new chocolate products at Waitrose.
You will leave us not only with a new set of skills but also with all the chocolate creations that you have made throughout the day. Expect to be very popular when you get home!

Your chef tutor
Will Torrent is an award-winning pastry chef who trained under Heston Blumenthal. Highly regarded in his field, Will graduated with first class honours as well as winning Young Chef of the Year in 2009.
Will is the author of three popular baking books, including “Patisserie At Home”, “Chocolate At Home” and “Afternoon Tea At Home”. Will shares the Seasoned ethos of teaching techniques which are achievable at home and inspiring budding bakers. He has worked with some of the world’s finest chefs, and his extensive experience, passion for baking, and friendly style will ensure you have a busy day learning and baking in a fun environment.
About your day
Our baking courses take place on the Catton Hall Estate. On the picturesque Derbyshire and Staffordshire border, we are only minutes from the A38. We also have plenty of free parking.
You’ll have the support of our “kitchen fairies” who’ll ensure you have everything you need. We’ll provide an apron for the day, and all the equipment and ingredients.
Your day includes a delicious light lunch served with wine or soft drinks. Please bring three large containers so you can take home your delicious creations.
Our day courses run from 9.30am to 5pm. Join the team for early morning refreshments from 9.15am.

As you can imagine, Will is much in demand around the UK, and his courses here at Seasoned tend to get booked up very quickly. His wealth of knowledge and friendly style make him very popular amongst our customers and our team.
Lunch and refreshments are provided, along with any equipment you will need, so there is no need to bring anything apart from the cake tins specified. Please let us know when booking your place if you have any dietary requirements, allergies or are a vegetarian so we can accommodate you. Please make sure to bring 3 cake tins with you to take your day’s creations home. You will leave with them brimming with your delicious treats!
