Our beautiful cookery school is based in the converted courtyard of the privately owned Catton Hall in Derbyshire.

Course Overview

This fun one-day cookery course is designed for men who want to develop a sound repertoire of delicious, tasty dishes. If you are a man who rarely cooks, or know one, this course is perfect. It will help you gain confidence in the kitchen and give you the building blocks to some great meals.

Our renowned chef will teach you various crucial culinary techniques such as basic knife skills, cooking fish, making a curry paste, roasting a chicken, making a great pudding and more. These skills are transferable to many recipes and provide a sound basis of knowledge for any aspiring home cook. Throughout the course, you will use these skills to create six delicious dishes, which you can then enjoy in our dining room, accompanied with wine.
