We were very proud to hear that one of our Indian chefs, Sanjeev Kumar was the winner of the Tiffin Cup 2013 to be awarded as the best South Asian restaurant in the country.

In total there were 86 nominations with one restaurant from each region being shortlisted and invited to participate in the Grand Final cook-off event held in the House of Commons in London.

Sanjeev impressed the judges with a northern Indian dish of smoked stuffed chicken with sesame seeds and potatoes served with a saffron sauce.

Sanjeev teaches our ‘Flavours of India’ day cookery courses with dishes some dishes on the day including:

– A selection of Indian starters including shami kebab

– The perfect masala gravy

– Taka Daal

– Sanjeevs Special Chicken

– Lamb Rogan Josh

– Onion Bajis
