At Seasoned we like to support our local suppliers as much as we can and whenever possible. This month we would like to introduce you to our newest suppliers Livesey Brothers who supply us with our delicious Woodlands Mushrooms.
Livesey Brother’s located in Packington Leicestershire, is a family owned farm business which has been operating for over 30 years, when brothers Tim & Simon Livesey started to grow Oyster mushrooms in the Dad’s sheds. Now 30 years on Tim’s sons Daniel and William also play an essential role in the running of the business.
Over the years Livesey Brothers has developed from growing one type of Woodland Mushroom to now growing eight different varieties. Livesey Brothers are now the UK’s leading Woodland Mushroom growers, always ensuring the provide high quality, fresh & tasty Mushrooms to markets.
Livesey Brother’s supply 8 different varieties of Woodland Mushrooms to many of the main supermarkets and the wholesale markets across the UK. Livesey Brothers also have a small farm shop where you can buy fresh Mushrooms daily.

We use many of Livesey Brothers Woodland Mushrooms on our Dinner Parties Tips & Tricks & Knife Skills course as they add great flavour combinations to many of our dishes, the delicious mushrooms can also be added to any dish as a side. Livesey Brothers also supplied their wonderful Mushrooms to us for our ‘Evening with Claire Hutchings’ back in December. Claire used Buna Shimeji & Maitake Mushrooms in her Cep dish as part of her wonderful 5 course taster menu.
