About Life Kitchen

Life Kitchen is a registered charity which offers FREE cookery courses for those living with cancer and their carers. This initiative was set up to enable people suffering with cancer to enjoy food which is full of flavour.  Over 80% of people undergoing chemotherapy find that during treatment their taste buds change, with food becoming unpalatable and unpleasurable too.

Ryan Riley, founder of Life Kitchen set up this charity in memory of his loving mother, Krista.  Sue Perkins, former Great British Bake Off Judge is now a patron for the charity.  Nigella Lawson and Sat Bains are also advocates of the fantastic work that Life Kitchen does.

With the growth of the Life Kitchen charity, Ryan has been in touch with Professor Barry Smith at the University of London for his help in engineering research work in recipe development for specifically, those people living with cancer. The aim is that these new recipes and techniques will be available to take across all of Britain in Ryans free cookery classes.

In time, Ryan would like to be able to publish recipes books and youtube videos to specifically accommodate those living with cancer, which will then reach more people, and hopefully bring some comfort to their lives.

Seasoned are pleased to be able to provide their facilities for such a wonderful cause.

Whats involved on the cookery courses?

During the life kitchen cookery sessions, Ryan Riley (founder) teaches a variety of tasty recipes which aims to re-ignite a love for food when people are at their lowest. The recipes aim to be full of flavour, tasty and easy too. The key aim is that the delegates attending the course will go home, and re-create the dishes again. These classes are for those who are going through chemotherapy treatment, and their carers. There are places for 6 people who are on chemotherapy, and 6 places for their carers.
