On Saturday the 20th May 2015 we had the pleasure of holding a lovely gentleman’s 60th Birthday celebrations in our private dining room. He chose a traditional british menu with an emphasis on locally sourced food,

 

The evening started at 7pm with canapés and champagne in our private outside courtyard. The delicious canapés were pork, apple and spring onion sausage rolls, mini Yorkshire puddings with steak slices and horseradish cream and tempura prawns with a sweet chili sauce.

After around 45 minutes of canapés and drinks, our guests made their way through to our dining room to start their bespoke three-course meal. The room was beautifully decorated with candles, flowers and balloons by George’s wife.

For their starter they decided on a delicious combination of asparagus, poached eggs and hollandaise sauce.

For their main course they followed their theme and went for locally sourced leg of lamb with seasonal vegetables and local potatoes both boiled and dauphinoise.

Finally for dessert they indulged in was crème brulee with a divine homemade compote and shortbread biscuits, fresh from the oven.

As the evening was a celebration for a former farmer it was essential that as many ingredients as possible were sourced from as close as possible, so if you have any specific requirement then please do let us know and we will try our best to accommodate all your requirements.
