Tania Spooner

How long have you been with Seasoned and what do you do?
I’ve been working at Seasoned for four years. I’m chief Kitchen Fairy as well as course coordinator and host.

What did you do before joining Seasoned?
My husband & I ran our own packing firm as well as a free range chicken farm.

What is your favourite cookbook and why?
It has to be Monisha Bharadwaj’s The Indian Cookery Course book. It made me realise how easy it was to cook delicious Indian food at home.

What do you most like to cook?
With the help of Monisha’s cookery book it has to be chutneys, a potato & pea curry along with a delicious chicken and butternut squash curry.

What was your favourite thing to cook as a child?
One of my strongest food memories as a child is cooking apple pie with my Nan.

What’s your favourite Seasoned course?
You’ll be unsurprised to hear that my favourite courses are the Indian courses by Monisha. The way she blends spices and flavours food is amazing.

We’re a cookery school that loves a good cuppa so what’s your favourite tea and treat?
I like a cup of coffee witha lemon & poppyseed muffin.
