We are based in a beautiful part of the country with students travelling far and wide to spend the day with us honing particular skills in the kitchen.

Located within a 10-minute drive from Seasoned Cookery School, Barton Marina plays host to many different attractions. There is bound to be something here that you will enjoy!
For example, take on celebrity status at the Red Carpet Cinema where you can catch the latest films. If the sun is shining or you have shelter under an umbrella, a stroll along the waterfront is a lovely way to take in the beauty of the area.
You can pop into the small quaint shops along the way too, stopping for lunch at ‘The Apple Tree’ coffee shop. There is also delicious, local produce to be found at ‘The Butcher, Baker, Ice Cream Maker’.
Barton Under Needwood Village
Also located within a short drive from the cookery school is the beautiful village of Barton. There are several village pubs, all of which will extend you a warm welcome. There are also some delightful shops here as well as cafes with homemade and locally-sourced produce for you to try.

The National Memorial Arboretum
The UK’s Living Centre of Remembrance can be found within a 5-minute drive from Catton Hall. Take your time to explore the history of several world-changing events. Every year, thousands of people travel to the Memorial, taking time to reflect in a sombre mood. Despite this, it is a remarkable place to visit, a place you won’t forget for some time to come.
Lichfield is home to, amongst other things, the imposing Lichfield Cathedral. A mere 20-minute drive from the Seasoned Cookery School, while your partner or friend enjoys their day in the kitchen; you can enjoy a day of shopping, as well as taking in the splendour of the cathedral.
It is thirsty work all this sight-seeing and shopping but that’s OK because in the city you will be spoilt for choice when it comes to places to eat and drink. From boutique cafes to old taverns, vibrant eateries and modern pubs serving delicious food, you will find plenty on offer here.
Of course, you may want a day of relaxation and pampering rather than bustling shops and tourist sites.
Hoar Cross Hall Hotel & Spa is a short 20-minute drive from the cookery school. As you would expect, its spa facilities are second-to-none, a great place to relax and rejuvenate mind, body and soul.
Why not make a night of it?
At the heart of the National Forest is the hidden gem that is Rosliston Forestry Centre. It’s a great day out for everyone but if you have children with you, the adventure play area is fantastic.
You can hire bikes too, exploring the mainly flat bike trails through the forest. Time will whizz pass and with so much to do here, you could easily spend more than a day exploring the enchanted forest.
Catton Hall is where Seasoned Cookery School is to be found.
Although not open to the public but there are many events held in the grounds of the hall throughout the year. You may be lucky enough to be coming at a time when there is an event being held.
There is Doodlefest, class car rallies as well as the beautifully named bearded Theory Music festival, as well as many other event and festivals planned throughout the year at Catton Hall. Pop along to their website to see what’s planned.
