A week in the life of Seasoned

A week in the life of seasoned:

Many people ask what we get up to when not running one of our day cookery courses, well, here is a glimpse of what the Seasoned team get up to in their ‘spare time'(!)

Take a peek of what Monday – Sunday had in store for the staff at Seasoned.

Monday – a fun filled baking course with Brendan, Great British Bake Off finalist:

A typical course day at Seasoned, begins at half 8, preparing equipment before our eager bakers arrive.  However prior to this there will be no less than 200 pre weighed boxes of ingredients to make sure that the our bakers can fit as much as possible into the day.

Course days are pretty busy for the seasoned ‘kitchen fairies’, armed with a full bottle of fairy liquid & industrial washing up gloves, as well as lots of tea & peanut squares!

After a fun day with three superb bakes, all of our customers leave armed with goodies to share with friends and family.

Tuesday – office time & recipe testing

Tuesday is spent catching up with emails and general office work. When we are in the office Clare uses the time to test out some recipes.  Sough-dough bread is the latest challenge, so we get to try a different flavour each day for lunch (perks of the job!).

Wednesday – a day of lights, camera, action as celeb chefs, Strictly come dancing stars & make up artists use our kitchen for filming

Seasoned Cookery School was recently used for filming by Channel  5s ‘Gadget Show’ which were testing out the latest top brand ovens. We were joined by presenters Ainsley Harriott and Rachel Riley as they put the latest gadgets to the test whilst preparing a Christmas dinner. Take a look at the programme!

Thursday- Successful consumer giants Unilever train the trainers

Unilever had the chance to put their cutting edge products to the test when they hired out Seasoned Cookery School for a product training day. Here the sales team had a practical experience of cooking and baking with unilever products, as well as comparing it against their competitors. They split the day up with practical cooking in the morning and sales strategy meetings in our meeting room in the afternoon.

Friday- A great gathering for another corporate day!

One of our recent corporate team cookery days was held with the technical team from telecommunication hotshots, O2. With having offices in both the north and south of England, they needed somewhere which was central for both teams to come together. That’s where we came in! Being centrally located, Seasoned offered the team a neutral place where they could all congregate and get to know their colleagues better.

The corporate days involved several cookery challenges including a skills test and palette test which encouraged team work, with a slight hint of friendly competiveness!

Saturday- A lovely event for a lovely couple

We recently hosted at 25th wedding anniversary celebration for Sally & Tony. They wanted a fun, informal evening with all their friends and family, just like a dinner party at home, but without the washing up!

24 guests were greeted by a jazz quartet in the hallway, followed by drinks & canapés in the kitchen and a three course meal in our candle lit dining room.  All the food was prepared and served by the seasoned team… but more importantly, so was the clearing up!

After a busy week there is always a spare bit of energy to celebrate the weekend, so whether it’s a 21st party or dinner party, our Saturday nights are normally spent sipping on a large G&T!

Sunday-Slippers on, feet up, in preparation for another jam-packed week!

Sunday is normally a day of rest & recuperation or in our case, a trip to the gym after a long week of indulging in too many peanut squares!
