Welcome to a week at Seasoned…
Last week 6th – 11th July was a busy week for Seasoned, filled with a variety events from cookery courses, competitions & corporate days.
Severn Trent Water were welcome at 9am with a freshly made breakfast, before heading to the meeting room for the morning. In the afternoon they took part in fun filled, BBQ team building activity with our chef Jeff. The day was extremely successfull and we hope to see Severn Trent Water back again in the near future.
We had 13 visitors on our Malaysian & Thai cuisine course, with BBC Masterchef finalist Jackie Kearney. The day was packed with delicious dishes including authentic Malaysian curry, street food style snacks & Pad Thai.
Browne Jacobson visited with a group of 26 for a morning meeting & team building afternoon with our expert Seasoned chef, Jeff Thomas. Dishes they cooked during their activity were mushroom croquettes with salsa verde followed by chicken ballotine stuffed with tarragon mousse served on a bed of pea and pancetta risotto. They also took part in a palate test, where they worked in teams to guess the ingredients in Jeff’s Thai Noodle Broth. The day was a real success and we hope to see Browne Jacobson back again in the future!
Busy Bees Nursery hosted their annual chefs competition, here at Seasoned utilising our kitchen hire facilities. Twelve finalists took to the stage showboating a range of tasty & nutritious vegetarian dishes, aimed at children under five. It was a tough competition, however huge congratulation’s goes to Daniel Powell from Farnborough QuinetiQ, who won with his Mediterranean Vegetable and Bean Hotpot.
We had a Pastry Made Easy course with 2014 Great British Bake Off finalist Luis Troyano. The British Bake Off film crew also paid a visit throughout the day, catching up with Luis ahead of the new up coming series. The day was extremely successful with all our guests making exceptional Bakewell tarts, blueberry cheesecake éclairs & hot water crust pork pies. Taking home their perfect pastries.
Saturday played host to a full BBQ course at Seasoned with chef Adam Pickett. Dishes on the course included Beer braised & smoked beef short ribs, Chilli & sesame chicken wings & Jerk chicken flatbreads with lime and coriander yoghurt. To add further excitement to the day Prince Phillip popped in to say hello.
A week at Seasoned is never the same, as well as the above we also offer private dinning events. All our days designed to fulfill our customer’s needs, ensuring they leave delighted with their Seasoned experience.
