In 2015 there are some great food festivals happening, the Seasoned team love going to local food festivals in Derbyshire / Staffordshire – here is a list of our favourite festivals in the local area & the rest of the UK.

Bakewell Food Festival – Bakewell

 When: 25th – 26th April 2015

Where: Bakewell town center

About:  On the food festival weekend the historic town of Bakewell offers a variety of over 50 food related stalls. There is also going to be cookery demonstrations at the school of food in the Rutland Mill.

 

 

Great British Food Festival – Derbyshire

When: 2nd – 4th May 2015

Where: Doe Lea, Chesterfield Derbyshire

About: If you decided to attend this weekend you will be able to buy fresh local produce. There is also an opportunity for you to see chef demonstrations from some very talented chefs including Richard Cullen and our very own Luis Troyano.

 

Stone Food & Drink Festival – Stone

When: 2nd – 4th October 2015

Where: Stone

About: Even though it is almost 6 months away this is a festival to have in the diary. There are so many opportunities that you can’t afford to miss, such as learning to cook from great chefs and being able to taste the delicious local produce.

 

 

Moira Cannel Food Festival – National Forest

When: 16th – 17th May 2015

Where:  Moira Furnace, National Forest

About: This festival is a great family day out, it is held in the heart of the New Forest and has been running since 1999. This food festival offers a wide variety of stalls and entertainment for the whole family.

The Chocolate Festival

When: 27th -29th March 2015

Where: Business Design Centre, London

About: It’s exactly what it says in the title a festival all about chocolate! This tradition started back on 2009 and has been a great success every year since, if you love chocolate it’s a must.

 

 

The London Coffee Festival

When: 30th April – 3rd May

Where: The Old Truman Brewery, Brick Lane

About: This festival is all about celebrating the delicious taste of coffee, with an expected 22 500 visitors. The festival will feature over 250 different coffee stalls, as well as interactive workshops, street food and live music.

River Cottage Spring food fair – Devon

When: 23rd – 24th May 2015

Where: River Cottage HQ, Park Farm, Trinity Hall Road, Axminster, Devon

About: This is a festival celebrating all things River Cottage, local produce and so much more.

 

Exeter food & drink festival – Exeter

When: 24th – 26th April 2015

Where: Exeter Castle and Northern Hay Gardens

About: This food festival runs across 3 days AND nights! This event attracts over 100 local producers and offers all sorts of food related entertainment, including celebrity chef demonstrations.

 

Taste of Sudbury food & drink festival – Suffolk

When: 14th June 2015

Where: Sudbury, Suffolk

About: This event is held in the middle of a historic town and there is no entry fee to attend.

 

Aldeburgh Food and Drink Festival in Suffolk 

When: 26th & 27th September 2015

About:  Aldeburgh is a food lovers paradise – on the Suffolk coast the area is rich with local producers.  The festival combines the best 90 food and drink producers from the local area.  There are also 2 cookery demonstration areas & some fanatastic demonstration chefs including Valentine Warner, Henry Harris, Thomasina Miers and Sabrina Ghayour.

The Festival is truly family friendly with free tickets for under 12s and free children’s activities and hands on cooking workshops.
